The Second Parsonage
In 1945, during a vacancy, the congregation made the decision to erect a new parsonage to replace the old parsonage.
The building committee appointed was Henry Mouw, Jake Eernisse, Charles Kruen, Chris Blom, Jim bolluyt, and Joe Mesman. A goal of $6,000 was to be reached before building was started. In the spring of 1946 the old parsonage was moved to its present site and the new building was built by Ted Pool Construction company and volunteer help from the congregation.
The upstairs consists of 3 bedrooms, a study, and bathroom. The main floor has living room with fireplace, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, and bath. The cost was about $12,000.
It was occupied by Rev. Rientjes and his family in December of 1946.
